GO TO THE MARINE MAMMAL CENTER AT MARIN HEADLANDS

Behind-the-Scenes tours are offered at 12pm and 2pm on select days, and topics vary throughout the year. These 30-minute walking tours are designed for participants ages 7 and up. Advance tickets can be purchased online, and proceeds from ticket sales help buy food and medicine for our patients!

Your guide will share stories of patients treated at The Marine Mammal Center, describe the tried and true recipes our volunteers use to nurse these animals back to health, give you the inside scoop on our innovative technologies utilized at The Marine Mammal Center and provide tips on how we can all play a part in protecting ocean life.

For a more comprehensive marine mammal experience, we recommend pairing your behind-the-scenes tour with a self-guided tour or a docent-led tour at 11am, 1pm or 3pm.

Behind-the-Scenes experiences vary based on weather and our patient care. Some days you will have the opportunity to explore our Fish Kitchen, while others we might highlight our intensive care unit of the hospital.
